For L.A. area customers, if picking up your order is more convenient, please e-mail us prior to purchase to confirm pick-up arrangements. Pickup of prepaid orders must take place during kitchen hours.

Can I mix and match cookies to make up a dozen?
The minimum order per cookie type is one dozen. So no, you can't mix and match cookie types to make up a dozen. But, if you want to send someone three dozen cookies, each dozen can be a different flavor from our weekly menu.

For all regular orders, a minimum of two dozen total cookies is required.

Orders are taken via the Internet at www.niceolecookies.com all week until 9:00 a.m. Friday morning. All orders are confirmed by Friday, and then baked on the weekend for shipment first thing Monday morning.

Live local? E-mail us to ask about delivery.

You only make three types of cookies?
In order to provide the best variety of cookies while keeping costs reasonable, Niceole offers three cookie flavors per week from our full menu. This allows us to rotate the flavors through more quickly, giving everyone a chance to get their favorites sooner rather than later.

If the wait is too long, though, for the cookie you want, you can special order a batch of any cookie flavor during any week. Just go to the applicable menu page (cookies, bar cookies, seasonal items) and place your order.

"Little brown bags of cookie goodness"? What does that mean?
Niceole cookies are packaged in eco-friendly "little brown bags" that provide good protection for them on their way to your table, but are also easy to toss in the recycling bin. We also use eco-friendly filler in our shipping boxes, which are made from partially recycled papers.

We like to think of our packaging as "streamlined" -- we're not about flashy, we're about the quality of the cookies inside. For our bar cookies and speciality desserts that require boxing, we use the least amount of packaging possible to get the product to you looking lovely and tasting great.

Who is Niceole?...And is that a typo?
Nope, not a typo. My great-grandmother from New orleans came up with the spelling, and while that extra "e" throws folks, my French chiropractor assures me it really is the antique spelling of "Nicole" before that extra "e" got tossed aside. I teach people to spell it by telling them its "Nice...Ole". Or you can just call me "the cookie lady."

As for the "who," well, I'm a girl who grew up loving goodies, and I had the waistline to prove it. But when I made the decision to get healthy, I did it to be healthy, and I am. I do Pilates, love to walk and dance and chase the various children in my life around until I'm ready to drop. I also love to cook and adore baking, and somewhere between getting my Master's in writing (USC Trojans RULE!) and working in the world of television post production, I decided that I love the joy I get from sharing my goodies with all my friends and loved ones -- those concerned with watching their weight and those who don't have to worry about it -- and thus Niceole as a business was born.

Where do you make your cookies? Do you own your own kitchen?
Niceole is a liscenced business in the city of Pasadena, California. Our cookies are prepared in the fantastic kitchen space at Chefs Center of California, which provides aspiring cooks, bakers, caterers, and chefs the opportunity to get their businesses off the ground by renting time in a fully liscensed commercial kitchen without the expense of buying or leasing an entire restaurant or bakery space. Our mailing address is:
Niceole
P.O. Box 61033
Pasadena, CA 91116

Do you only bake on Saturdays? How fast will I get my order?
Because Niceole is just starting out, we have to consolidate baking time to get the most bang for our buck over at Chefs Center.

My main baking day is Saturday, but I can accommodate weekday orders based on kitchen availability. Please e-mail orders@niceolecookies.com before placing your order to confirm scheduling for an order needed Monday-Friday.

Orders are available for delivery or pickup on the day they're baked for L.A. customers. Shipped orders are mailed same day (if completed by 5:00) or the next business day.

I'm sending this as a gift. Can you include a card?
We absolutely can include a card. Simply e-mail us the text you'd like to include, and we'll send you confirmation it's been received.

We'll put your special message on one of our Niceole enclosure cards and let the lucky cookie recipient know who sent treats their way.

Do you bake anything besides cookies?
Boy, do we! I also make a selection of cakes, cheesecakes, breads, and cupcakes that are, like the cookies, lighter on calories due to recipe changes or due to proper portioning, but still provide a decadent dessert experience.

Cupcakes: Cheesecakes: Other Goodies:
Banana-Chocolate Honey Cinnamon Banana-Blueberry bread
Double Chocolate Chunk (unfrosted) Chocolate Swirl Banana-Oatmeal bread
Double Chocolate (with glaze) Chocolate Chip Apple bread
Strawberry Shortcake Pumpkin Banana-Chocolate Chip muffins
Old-Fashioned Black & White Chocolate Cheesecake Bars Whipped Cream Chocolate Pie
Lemon Mini Chocolate Cheesecake Chocolate Mousse Torte
Blueberry

But for now, Niceole is offering the cookie menu only for shipment outside of L.A. If you live in the local L.A. area, and you're interested in information on the cakes, cheesecakes, and cupcakes, please call or e-mail us for more information.

Also, please be sure to check out our allergy alerts as these cake and cupcake recipes use sunflower oil, almond extract, and strawberries.

Who or what is Martha Kitchen Aid?
Martha Kitchen Aid is my beloved pink Kitchen Aid mixer. She came to my house through the love of friends who felt they'd only benefit from giving me the ultimate baking tool, and trust me, they have! Who do you think test all these cookies?

Her name is "Martha" because my admiration for Martha Stewart knows no bounds and because both of them help me make fabulous treats! You may see me reference her in a post somewhere (Martha Kitchen Aid, not the actual Martha) -- so I just wanted you to all know who and what she is.

Be sure to check out our blog for updates on what "Martha" and I are up to in the kitchen as our development process continues!
