The Doodly Did It! Little Noelle Marie Doodlybug won 1st Place in the Best Costume Contest at Fun Fest |
We were all surprised when we opened the paper the next morning to see that Noelle
Marie and her friends were on the front page. They even spelled Doodlybug right! |
Noelle wore her friend Mystery's pink rosebud party collar to compete in Prettiest
Female. |
But Noelle's favorite part of the Pet Dog Show was the costume contest. Paris
Lynn created her a new purple wave petunia costume and decorated her flower
pot. Then she coached her little spotted sister on what to say when the judges
asked questions. |
"World pees!" Noelle woofed in her deepest doodlybug voice. |
"Whirled peas!" Noelle yipped in her highest doodlybug voice. |
"World peace!" she barked to the flamingos in the Esmerelda Garden. "Perfect!" proclaimed Paris Lynn. |
There were over 1500 people and a bazillion dogs at the Pet Dog Show. Noelle sat in Susiemom's lap and sometimes got down to chase gnats in the grass, a favorite pastime of the tiny spotted girl. |
Noelle was exhausted and fell sound asleep in her flower pot during the judging.
When she woke up, there was a blue ribbon on her costume, and people were
making her picture. She was so embarrassed! |
Noelle Marie won 4th place in Best Heinz 57. Her pedigree is a little spotty, and she doesn't discuss genealogy. |
