The Alexander Room
This unique downstairs bedroom features a slipper claw foot tub and a private
prayer nook. One of the larger rooms, it is devoted to the history of the
Alexander family who completed construction of the house, using it as
their residence for four generations. Furnished in walnut and bird's eye
maple, the richness of the wood is beautifully offset by the airy light that
spills into the room.

The Peach Room
Take delight in this intricately decorated room which celebrates the importance
of agriculture in the Upstate, especially peaches. The walnut bed with a
swinging headboard, along with a unique turn of the century chandelier
and marble top antique dresser make the Peach room one of warmest and delicate
rooms in the entire Inn. The Peach room also overlooks the upstairs front
porch where guests can enjoy quiet evenings relaxing in wicker chairs with a
cold drink.

The Hub City Room
This "railroad room" tells the hisory of how Spartanburg became the "Hub City"
of the Upstate. Centered around travel, the antique French bedroom suite with
marble top dresser emphasizes the importance of the connection the Upstate had
with a larger world through the invention of railroads. One of the most privateareas in the house, the Hub City room also has a second generation original
bathroom with pre-World War II sink and 5 1/2 foot tub. This room adjoins the
small library where guests can relax and curl up with a favorite novel.

The Garden Room
The Garden Room, also the Inn's bridal suite, celebrates Hatcher Gardens,
directions of which can be found in the room. These gardens are a living
symbol of one man's dream for Spartanburg. The queen sized brass bed features
flowers hand painted on glass orbs. The bedroom has an adjoining private bath
with an eighty gallon garden tub as well as a stand up shower. Other
amenities in the bath
include a bidet along with a one of a kind sink which echoes the days of the
bowl and pitcher. The large windows in the suite allow abundant sunlight to
spill in, making the Garden Room one of the brightest in the Inn.

The Revolutionary War Room
One of the more masculine rooms in the Inn, this room is
dedicated to nine Revolutionary War battles in Spartanburg County and their
heroes and heroines. Within the room, discover directions to Walnut Grove
Plantation, the home of Kate Barry, and Cowpens Battlefield, where General
Daniel Morgan is credited with turning the tide in the War for Independence.
The room features a queen sized turn of the century oak bedroom set and
overlooks the upstairs balcony. The private bathroom holds a stand up shower
along with an original stained glass window. Even with modern amenities, the
Revolutionary War room will nevertheless take you back to
the early Southern frontier.

The Textile Room
This downstairs bedroom features a walnut queen sized bed which dates to 1880.
Relax in the one-person jacuzzi tub. Easily accessible, enjoy the sitting area and
gas fireplace which directly adjoin this bedroom. The Textile room features
the history of textiles and their immense importance to the economic history
of ,not only Spartanburg, but the entire Upstate. Textiles in
South Carolina have historically been and, to some extent, still are a backbone of the Southern economy. Inquire about renting the Textile bedroom and adjoining suite as one room.
