Our operating location is Brookside, Al inside Bensco Park. Talk in on the 146.88 repeater, 146.58 simplex and DMR talk group 31013, ALERT.

We are at the "old school site" above the main park area near "kissing rock" in the paved parking area.

We had a tremendous event in 2017 and we want to keep the momentum going. Setup Begins on Thursday afternoon, June 21st at 1:00 P.M. Individuals who have volunteered so far are:

We are attempting to increase the score from 2017 where we placed well.

Please come out and operate a station. All ALERT members are invited.

We will operate all modes from 160m to 70cm including 222 MHz FM for the full 24 hours. We will use computer logging exclusively. Our logging computers will be linked using MESH technology with the cumulative scores tallied on the big screen. A hot shower is available at the site too.

Things we have: generator, AC extension cables, shelters, 12 volt batteries, microwave oven, Mesh nodes, antenna launcher.

Things we need: station operators, folding tables, folding chairs, CW operators, laptop computers, food captain (grill master).
