January, 2008 - The Isolation Room

The new room is bordered in green.

As of early January, 2008, here's where it is.
Picture taken from outside the new door. You can just
see the door into the existing studio on the left.

Under Construction

My friend, Bob, apparently saluting
me as he prepares to make the incision.

"Oops?" What do you mean "Oops?"

Voila

Window #2 of 2
25 October, 2008

This window was built shortly after the first and has been sitting idle since spring,
so with post-flood repairs about the begin, the first step was to get this thing in place.

Once again, the incision is made.
Notice in the back, compared to Window #1 pix,
there's drywall missing as a result of the flood.

Final touches

...and there you have it!

Here's what it looked like new.

This is a composite of three pictures. Sorry for the quality, but I think you'll get the idea.

(Scroll up for earlier pictures)

We started the carpet this weekend. Due to some mathematical issues on the part of our "sales professional," the square footage came up short, but we managed to get the control room covered. And, seeing that's where the majority of the equipment goes, we were also able to start hooking it all back up.

At about 7:45pm today, the first audio was heard from the monitors since 8 June, 2008!!!

12-20-08

Well, pictures aren't necessarily adequate, but I've included a few. The control room looks pretty much like it used to - although it's not quite as cluttered....yet.

The biggie is the new room: the Isolation Booth or Drum Room or whatever. There are a few pix below but not taken with quite a wide enough angle. Still, we're up and running and have even had a few people in recently, doing some recording.
