Our first project was a detail set for the 1/32 Revell/Monogram AH-1G HueyCobra. This kit was originally issued in the late 1960's and well-represented the contemporary AH-1G in service in Vietnam. However, many changes took place in the Cobra's early development that led to a subtly different AH-1G by the early 1970's. Improvements in the form of a right-hand tail rotor to cure a low-speed instability problem and an exhaust shroud to help defend against man-portable SAM's gave a unique look to these later AH-1G's. Modeling these later machines with the Revell kit is now easier with this seven-piece detail set, which provides a replacement tailfin, replacement exhaust cowling, and the distinctive "sugar scoop" exhaust deflector package.

These resin detail sets are available now, and you can see a review at the Hyperscale website by following this link. The catalog number is FM32-001. The cost of the set is $12.00US.
