Fabrics & Trims

Fishnoodles cloth diapers & covers are made with the highest quality materials:

Waterproof fabric - Knit polyester laminated with polyurethane (known as PUL). We use 1 mil PUL because it is lightweight, soft, and doesn't hold in a lot of heat like thicker 2 mil PUL can. It is just as waterproof and it withstands repeated washing and drying well. Fishnoodles printed PUL fabrics are just as soft as the solids and do not wick moisture to the baby's clothing or bedding. PUL in prints or solids is your most durable, long-lasting choice for diaper covers and all-in-ones.

Cotton print fabric - The freshest prints from children's apparel and fabric designers are used for the outside of Freesize Fitteds. All cottons will eventually fade a bit with repeated washing and with drying in the sun.

Soaker & inner fabric - For Solo Flyer all-in-one diapers and Freesize Fitted Diapers we use bamboo viscose fabrics, which are soft, absorbent, and antimicrobial. Bamboo viscose absorbs liquid more quickly than cotton!

Snap Closures - The polyresin snaps are stronger than fabric. If yanked open, you can tear the diaper or cover. Please be gentle.

Elastic - We use extremely durable yet soft elastic, top quality branded elastics.  This elastic can take numerous trips through the dryer without sagging or breaking.

Binding - Also known as FOE or fold-over elastic. We use a combination of different types on our diaper covers. The gusset binding is narrower and softer than the edge binding. Great care has been taken to develop covers that will be gentle on little legs.

Allergen Information - All diapers and garments are produced in a tobacco-free environment. Items that are washed as part of the manufacturing process are washed in detergent that does not contain dyes or perfumes. Solo Flyer AIOs are latex free.

Environmental Concerns - The studio and household are powered by Green Power--electrical energy from wind and solar sources.

Care

Snap items – Please open snaps gently. Tugging or ripping open snaps can damage the fabric.

Diaper Covers – Wash on warm or hot. Dry on low or air dry. Using a very hot dryer will shorten the life of the PUL.

Solo Flyer AIOs – Unsnap soaker if desired. Wash on warm or hot. Dry on low or air dry. Using a very hot dryer or drying longer than needed to remove dampness will shorten the life of the PUL.

Fitteds – Wash on warm or hot. Dry on warm. Tossing a dry towel in with the diapers can reduce drying time.

Setup
Covers & AIOs -- wash on warm or hot and tumble dry briefly before first use. Remove promptly from dryer. Excessive heat can warp PUL.  AIO leg openings will tighten and roll in.
