We are a small home breeder of Butterfly Dogs near Knoxville, Tn. We started in 2004 with the purchase of Maggie from a Kennel in Central Missouri. We drove 19 hours to pick her up, stopping to visit with friends and relatives on the way. Maggie has been very special to all of us since the day she came to our home. She has been a blessing since day one and with the surgery my husband has gone through she has been a great companion. Still have plans to train her for her CGC award. Our dream is to bring her also to nursing homes to brighten up their day.
3 months later my wife and daughter drove to North Carolina and purchased Luke. A little boy who needed a home to rule in. He is our daughters baby. She had taken him to obedience training and has passed the CGC Award "Canine Good Citizen Award". We have trained him as a therapy dog for visiting hospitals and nursing homes. We do hope to train Maggie for therapy too. And we mighttry to expand our kennel into a Boarding Kennel for smaller dogs and possibly a Pet Sitting Service to help us fund the Therapy Dog service that we would like to pursue.
