Carol was a teacher in Winter Park, Pompano Beach and Key West before moving to Sanibel and becoming a librarian for the Lee County School District. Carol passed away Friday (11/16/07).

Carol Sellars, 88, sorts through a lap full of mail Saturday afternoon, June 1, 2003. With the exception of doctor appointments, Carol went to Pine Island by ferry once a week for food and to check her mail.
Carol relied on a gas powered generator to pump water and run her television in the afternoon when she watched soap operas.
