Chi Hi Hockey Blueline Meeting
December 4, 2007 Minutes
At the Chippewa Youth Hockey Ice Rink
Attending: Coach Parker, Patti Darley, Pam Kelly, Nancy Kurkowski, Jackie Vavra, Laura Larson and Sandi Hysell
1. Coaches update. Items purchased: new numbers and wings for the varsity helmets; some 3 ring binders for the players; tape for the TV; a new helmet for Seth Eckwright and breezers for Justin Kelly.
2. Spaghetti Feed.
a) Will be on Monday, January 14, 2008.
b) New owner easy to work with. Tank Schemenauer should be contacted to help out with the kitchen.
c) Howie Sykora, Tom Larson, Howie Vavra tentatively scheduled to cook noodles on Sunday.
d) Sign up sheet will be passed around at the Tomah tournament.
e) Ticket prices ok at $6 each with each player selling 10.
f) Julie Hutton will print tickets and posters. Pam will contact Julie. Quantities will be the same as last year. Add Chi Hi “Men’s” Hockey to distinguish which hockey team is running the fund raiser.
g) Pam will collect the money and will try to have all due at the Lakeland game.
h) Tank will contact the companies.
i) Coach felt that we didn’t need to advertise on WEAU because Eau Claire audience not really interested.
j) Nancy will work with her niece to contact some of the local businesses for raffle items (Scheels, Leinies, Play It Again, and Kristo Orthodontics). Pam will get the cash boxes.
k) Nancy will pick up the bread from Sam’s Club. Should be day old since it is easier to cut.
l) Rest of food items will be billed after the feed.
m) Each player will donate a plate of bars.
n) To-go containers and cups will also be provided and billed to us after the feed.
3. Patty updated us on the sweat suit/shirt order. All in and should be delivered before Christmas.
4. Because of the high cost for Agnes’ Table, Coach will revisit the activity for next year.
5. Holiday Tournament potluck will be organized by Deb Bruhn and Mary Semingson. Plates and plastic ware to be provided by Pam Kelly.
6. Deb Loiselle and Nancy Kurkowski will organize pizza for the Lakeland overnight.
7. Jackie updated the group on the Booster Club activities: raffle tickets handed out at the potluck; next meeting will be 12/12/07 at 6:30 pm
8. Beverages for the out-of-town bus trips are being used sparingly—only 3 cases so far.
9. Other topics: None.
