Chi Hi Hockey Blueline Meeting

At the Chippewa Youth Hockey Ice Rink
Attending: Coach Parker, Kelly Begley, Julie Darrow, Patti Darley, Pam Kelly, Gayle Klitzke, Becky Frenett, Bob & Chris Maslonkowski
1. Coach opened with the changes he would like to make to Varsity this year.Wants to purchase some balls ($60) for stick handling. Need to purchase some new jump ropes and 6 water bottles, will need to check with JV to see if they need some. Needs to purchase 20-21 folders , one for each player, the kids will be keeping track of their goals and will go over at meetings.
2. Need to pay Staves $150.00 and Engelkind $100 for helping with the dryland.
3. Most of the new equipment was purchase by the booster club, we will need to pay for some other equipment (1 @ $140 and 5 @ $105), new jerseys will be for away games, red and white jerseys will be for home games. May need to purchase new numbers and wings for helmets. Try to purchase 4 to 5 new style helmets each year.
4. The hockey video will come out of the budget this year, something we do every other year. The balance in our budget as of today is $1808.00. Each kid will be responsible for selling 20 Piffs Pizza coupons. The buyout will be $125 if they don’t sell the coupons.
5. Chippewa Valley Sports will do the sweats and the windsuits again this year. Will work on this after tryouts.
6. Our kids are scheduled to help with Agnes’s Table on Nov. 21st. The whole team will be responsible for helping, will need some parents to come early at 3:00 to help also. We bring all the food and we also pay $25 to do this.
7. We will go with Subway Sandwiches again this year. Chris M. will take care of getting sandwiches and drinks and put on the bus. Pam K. will provide her with 2 coolers to separate the JV from Varsity so JV can eat after their game at 6:30. Pam will take care of getting this to the JV kids.
8. This years Holiday Tourney is in Neenah, Patti reserved rooms at the Hampton Inn, Tourney is scheduled for Dec. 28th and 29th.
9. Set the date for the spaghetti feed, it will be Jan. 8th, Coach will contact Four Corners to set up.
10. Parents night will be Feb. 10th
11. Faculty Staff night is Nov. 30th
12. The Chi Hi Spring Extravaganza is scheduled for April 21st, our kids will have to sell tickets for this. This event helps the Booster Club give back to the hockey team.
13. Potluck is scheduled for Nov. 14th, Tom and Laura Larson will be setting this up.
14. Code meeting Sunday, Oct. 29th at 6:15 and hockey meeting following at 7:00 with coach.
15. Patti will do the web page until we find someone that can do this for us.
16. Concession: Pam Kelly will take care of opening and closing it for home games, Varsity parents that work the JV game will need to be there early enough to get things going and also will be responsible for coming in and helping inbetween both periods.
17. Kids pay for their practice jerseys and will also pay for their hats this year, will check on the price of this.
18. We decided at the end of last year that we will not charge a fee for the skate sharpening this year.
19. Scrimmage is scheduled for Nov. 25th. Red/White scrimmage is scheduled for Nov. 17th.
