Finding Nemo
Just the kind of light, entertaining fare I like. I am just amazed at the Pixar rendering technology. The story line is as good as any opera.

An IMAX film that is an excellent documentary from National Geographic. A beautiful film, to which you can take the whole family, including the young grandkids.

Phantom of the Opera
We highly recommend it. Andrew Lloyd Webber was the producer and he held tight control. This show has some of my favorate music and it is difficult to describe the thrill, in the opening sequence, to be surrounded by the sound of a grand pipe organ playing the title number. What a way to start the new year. Janet commented it was like savoring a large piece of chocolate cake.

Million Dollar Baby
I must first state that I do not like boxing. In my opinion, boxing is not a sport. I feel that any activity whose sole purpose is to do damage to another person, expecially damage to the brain. cannot be considered a sport. To achieve a knockout, is to cause brain damage.

With that said, and as uncomfortable as it was, I did sit through the entire film. What made that, at least bearable, was the qualiy of the production itself, including excellent performances by Clint Eastwod, Morgan Freeman, and Hillary Swank. The story centers on a country girl (Swank) who wants to become a pro boxer, and a reluctant trainer (Eastwood). Morgan Freeman plays a former boxer who lost the sight in one eye after 109 bouts. He is sort of a general care taker of Eastwoods' gym. The interplay between Eastwood and Freemen is the most outstanding feature of this movie. Some people, however, will find the ending disturbing.
