McALEXANDER researches have not agreed upon birth date of James (The Immigrant) McALEXANDER. Some say he was born in 1715, while the above evidence shows his birth or baptism as February 17, 1717. He may have been born in 1715 and not baptized until 1717. All seem to agree to a Scotland birthplace.
