Know all men by these presents that we Will Pennybaker & Mich(ael)? Campbell are held & firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Virginia in the sum of fifty pounds current money to be paid unto our Commonwealth aforesaid to which payment will & truly to be made we bind ourselves our heirs & administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents sealed with our Seals and dated the 29 day of Jany 1790.

Whereas there is a marriage suddenly intended to be solemnized between the above bound Wil. Pennybaker and Mary Wilson daughter of ________________. The condition of this present obligation is such that if there be no lawful cause to obstruct the said marriage then the above obligation to be void lese to remain in full force and virtue.

MARRIAGE RECORDS

SAMUEL BOONE and POLLY PENNEBAKER

William PENNEBAKER and his daughter Mary (Elizabeth) "Polly" PENNEBAKER BOONE and Mary's husband, Samuel BOONE (1st cousin of Daniel Boone), are buried in the Old Goshen Cemetery, Boone Township, Harrison County, Indiana. Mary "Polly" (Panebaker) PENNEBAKER and Samuel BOONE were married in Bullitt Co, KY on Feb 1, 1807 (LDS FHL film #0482690, Bullitt Co, KY, 1797-1872 and #0497007, Bullitt Co, KY, 1797-1823). Note spelling variation. Mary (Elizabeth) "Polly" PENNEBAKER is sometimes referred to as Elizabeth Pennepacker. She died in 1844 and was buried in Boone Twp, Harrison Co, IN. They had 13 children - 9 living to maturity.

Their tombstones read as follows:
Wm. Pennebaker, b. in Pennsylvania; d. in Indiana, 1822 Age 67 yrs
Mary, dau of Wm. and Mary C. Pennebaker and wife of Samuel Boone b. May 8, 1790, d. June 24, 1844
Samuel, son of Samuel Boone of Fredericktown, Md., b. Mar 9, 1778, d. Jan 8, 1856
