Old springs are on the left, new springs are on the right.

The old springs were 30 years old.

The front small block spings were replaced with big block springs, which are stiffer to handle the extra weight of the engine.

It took the better part of a weekend to get the front and rear springs in place.

Spring compressers are of some help, but it is still not a cakewalk.

It would be a good idea to have some help around, preferrably someone who has done this before.

It is good to have this part of the job finished. 

It is cool seeing frame and suspension components that are not all rusted and full of grease.   Hope it stays that way :)
