Bran Muffin December 20, 1997- May 15, 1999

In December 1997, Eric joined the Lake Geneva, WI-based band Bran Muffin. The band had been together about a year prior to Eric's joining. The band's sound was a self-described "heavy/distorted rock n' roll"and they had a great loyal following.

Eric began performing with Bran Muffin on January 23, 1998 in Burlington, W.I. to a packed house and a great audience. This trend followed throughout his short career with the band. Bran Muffin performed almost constantly around southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois to establish themselves. They recorded two songs in April 1998, "Alternator" and "Dragon Slayer," which got airplay on Milwaukee and surrounding area radio stations.

In October 1998 the band recorded the song "Lay Me," which was put on a demo ("Rye Bread") along with the two previously recorded songs. Just like in many cases, Orlando and Ben grew tired of where the band was at the time, resulting in the temporary break up of the band in October 1998.

In the Spring 1999, Bran Muffin reunited for an official last show. The band wanted its short history to end on a positive note, so they reformed with the addition of original lead / rhythm guitarist Eric Laubinger to play together one last time for their fans. The show went great and the crowd was enthusiastic.
