Eleazer Scott (17 Dec 1767 - 1850s) came
to Ontario about 1798 from New London, Connecticut. Eleazer was part of a land speculation
group headed by Thomas Ingersoll. They received a Crown Land Grant in the
West Oxford, Ontario area in 1798. After the British Government reneged on its
land contracts, he moved the family to Macomb Co, Michigan about 1816.
His parents were Joseph
Scott and Abigail Worden of New London, CT. He married
Elizabeth Sage (daughter of Allen Sage Jr. of CT, also part of the Ingersoll
party).
Eleazer's children
were:

1870) married Persis Covell, both buried in Utica, MI cemetery.

Canada -1863) returned to Canada almost immediately.

(1809 Canada - 8 Dec 1855 Utica, Macomb, MI) married Rebecca
McKesson(1808-21 Oct 1852) Buried in Utica Cemetery.

Peter's parents were Benjamin and Hannah Scott, born ca 1615, Eng. Settled
in Braintree, MA by 1643. |
