Know all Men by these Presents, That we E. L. Pitts & Y. J. H. Pitts

Y. J. Culbertson Cullin Lark & David Boyd

Are holden and firmly bound unto W. H. LANGSTON, Esquire, Ordinary for the District of

Laurens, in the full and just sum of Twenty Thousand Dollars


lawful money of the said state, to be paid to the said W. H. Langston, or his successors, Ordi-

naries of this District, or their certain Attorney or Assigns. to which payment well and truly
To be made, we bind ourselves, and every of us, our and every of our Heirs, Executors and Ad-

ministrators, for the whole, in the whole, jointly and severely, firmly by these presents.

The Condition of the above Obligation is such, That if the above bound E.L. Pitts

Administrator of the Goods, Chattels and credits of Henry Pitts ????


deceased, do make a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the Goods, Chattels and
credits of the said deceased, which have or shall come to that hands, possession or knowledge of
the said
E. L. Pitts & Y. J. H. Pitts

or into the hands or possession of any other person or persons, for their and the same so
made, and to exhibit and to the said Court of Ordinary, when
they shall be thereunto required,
and such Goods, Chattels and credits do well and truly administer according to law, and do
make a just and true account of
their actings and doings therein, when required by the said
Court, and all the rest of the said goods, chattels and credits which shall be found remaining
upon the account of the said administration, the same being first allowed by the said Court, shall
deliver and pay unto such persons respectively as are entitled to the same by law: and if it
shall hereafter appear that any last will and testament was made by the said deceased, and the
same be proven in court, and the Executors obtain a certificate of the probate thereof, and the

if required, render and deliver up the said Letters of Administration; then this obligation to be
void, or else to remain in full force.

these are to authorize and empower you, or any three or four of you, whose names are
hereunder written, to repair to all such parts and places within this state as usual be di-

rected on to by
E. L. Pitts & Y. J. H. Pitts Admnr

of the goods and chattels, rights and credits of Henry Pitts
deceased, wheresoever any of the said goods and chattels are, or do remain, within the said

parts and places, and which shall be shown unto you by the said

and their view and praise all and every the said goods and chattels, being first duly sworn
on the Holy evangelist of Almighty God, to make a true and perfect inventory and appraise-
ment thereof, and to cause the same to be returned under your hands, or any three or four of

on or before 3rd day of June next.

Henry Pitts late of Laurens County

deceased, who, being duly sworn, made oath that they would make a just and true
appraise meant of all and singular the goods and chattels of the said
Henry Pitts

deceased, as shall be produced by E L Pitts & Y J H Pitts, admnr

of the estate of the said deceased, and that they would return the same, certified
under
their hands, unto the said admnr on or before the
10th day of May next.

The aspect in this case in the part of the Petition

on to the Circuit Court having been heard & sustained

and the case remanded to this court with instructions to

charge the Administrators with the amount of Eight

hundred & Sixty Two Dollars &20\100 rec'd by the Attorney

for the Administrators on the judgment on the note of

John R. Fuller & for any further orders as may be necess

-ary & proper in the case and the same having been

duly certified to this court by the Clerk of the Court of

General Sessions & Common Pleas, it is on motion

of James Farrow Attorney for the Petitioner L. Emaline

Owings, Ordered, That the accounting & settlement

of the estate of Henry Pitts dec'd- in this Court be

resumed on the 4th day of November

1881,

and that at same time & place the Administrators of the

estate of Henry Pitts dec'd- *being Leroy Pitts & Y. J. Pitts

as Administrators thereof do proceed with their accounting

& settlement of the aforesaid estate or failing in that,

that they account as Administrators & execute a new &

adequate bond with sufficient sureties for their faithful

administration of the said or surrender their appointment
