I have travelled a great deal of the old Route (with my family from Illinois to California.   My favorite spots include Amboy and Needles in California, Oatman in Arizona, Catoosa and Miami in Oklahoma (I love the Will Rogers Memorial Museum and the Blue Whale) and of course St. Louis (my absolute favorite spot of all).
