Hero Creation

Because this campaign is intended for low-to-mid level heroes, you will be given 300 CP's to create your character under normal circumstances. This point system is based on the point system found in an old edition of Polyhedron Magazine.

>If you are creating a true magic user, you will do so using these rules. You will roll (per the advanced rulebook) on the normal human table for your FASERIP. You will roll (per the advanced rulebook) on the altered human table for everything else. For non-true magic using characters, you will follow the guidelines below.

> It will be a point-by-point basis for the ranks you assign to your FASERIP stats.

>Resources will cost you double the rank wanted.

>It will cost you 10 points to buy a power, plus points equal to the rank wanted. Starred powers will cost double the rank wanted. Powers without a rank will cost you 10 points.

>General talents will cost 5 points. Starred, fighting, mental, mystical, & weapons talents will cost you 10 points.

>Contacts will cost you 5 points per contact.

>You are free to take a limitation (or two), at the judge's approval. If we accept said limitation, we will credit you with a certain number of points back.

>You are allowed to have up to two power stunts at game start, but they must be approved & in place by the start of your first session.

> You can only have a maximum of one stat/pwoer above the rank of Am46, and it is subject to our approval.

>Health, Karma, & Popularity will be determined as you normally would. Any CP's left over after your character is created can be added to your Karma or set aside for advancement.

>In general, we do not like to use the Ultimate Powers Book. That is not to say, that we will refuse a character who has powers from the UPB. It all depends on the powers involved if we will allow it.

> We would like the character's history as detailed as possible. We have several tables at the bottom of this page that are available to aid in this should you need a kick start. These tables are based on other established game systems. This should include family members, how you got your powers, what you are doing with them, etc. These tables are not necessary by any means, and I use them strictly to fill in the blanks. All these tables use a percentile, unless otherwise noted. Additionally, some rolls do not correspond with others. In cases as that, just use common sense.

>If you lack drawing skills, like myself, you can use Hero Machine to create a pic of your hero. After you create it, you can do a screen capture and paste it into your favorite graphics editor. Once done, email the pic to me or my wife, and we can add it to the sheet we'll be creating for you online.
