Charter Communications offers a special internship for students seeking credit. You must arrange the internship through your school or university to ensure that you will be allowed to receive credit for fulfilling 120 hours of television production experience.

During the beginning of the internship, all interns will learn to work as a production crew, using studio microphones, audio boards, graphic generators & switchers. This training is called "Mock Shoots". Once you've gained knowledge of the studio equipment, it's time to move on to portable equipment. Interns will attend workshops on portable camcorders (S-VHS and Mini- DV), as well as lighting and editing.

After the training college interns are expected to complete 3 projects which can be discussed with staff members or can be assigned by staff members. One way or another we're going to test what you have learned . We don't want to send you out into the world with no working knowledge of video production.

This is an intensive hands-on program which will require some effort, but believe me you will learn and you will have fun.
