We would like to thank you all for visiting the farm and this web site. The farm is available for meetings, group tours or special programs by appointment. Just give me a call at 509-542-0489 and let us know what dates you are interested in and we will try to accommodate. We are nestled in the Columbia River Valley in the Tri-Cities of Washington. Puddle Ducks Herb Farm awaits for you to come and explore nature. It's beauty is what nurtures us daily and we would like to share it's bounty with you. We share the farm with ducks, geese, chicken, fish, toads, pheasants and numerous bird species.
"Camp Duck" As you can see "Camp Duck" is a place for children to come and have adventures and get close to nature. We have planted trees for nesting birds and for much needed shade. A path leads one through the trees to discover wild flowers and heirloom morning glories twining their way around the landscape. The remainder of the gardens include a water garden, woodland garden, cottage garden, shrub borders with Roses for both their blooms and hips. A wildlife habitat, cutting garden, fairy garden and orchard. The water garden and adjacent woodland garden provide a shady habitat with the sound of running water from the fountain. The Cherry Tree heralds in the season and puts a fabulous display that reflects into the main pond. The fish are always ready to be fed and love to share their relaxing spot with anyone who cares to stop and enjoy a cup of herbal tea. The water lily's are usually in full bloom July through September. Our ponds are home to all sorts of critters from fish to toads to insects to birds. If you have a boy scout which would like to come join us for a program, please send us an email and we can tailor a program to achieve a badge.
"Cutting Garden" Our cutting garden is open to those who care to harvest for themselves. We offer tomatoes, peppers, squash and all sorts of heirloom vegetables, herbs for tea, herbs for culinary, herbs for crafts and perennial flowers and a variety of fresh fruit. In the wildlife habitat we provide safe shelter for pheasants and small birds as well as creative ways to meet their feeding requirements.
We harvest Jean Davis Lavender, Province, Grosso and Hidcote Lavender during the summer months. We dry it in the shop and the fragrance will surround you like a warm blanket that you do not wish to leave behind.
Our garden is a living and breathing entity and as such it is constantly changing. Let Puddle Ducks Herb Farm share our gardens with you and our animal friends. We strive to provide a shelter and constant food and nectar sources for all our wild animal friends.
