Association. CalFed Links Page - Important California water and energy links. "CalFed" is the name given to a consortium of Federal and California State agencies charged with finding a "solution" to all of the problems facing the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta. This "solution" will basically affect the future of California. The initial "Preferred Alternative" has been announced (as of Fall, 1999) and as expected, very few like it. This situation is interesting as an example of just about every type of water resources management problem in the world, and some of the most modern approaches to solving them.
