Repair Log - Centipede

The Monitor

The monitor in this game was an Electrohome G07. There was no HV, and the fuses were blown. On this model of monitor, this is most often a bad flyback and bad HOT (horizontal output transister). They're pretty cheap to replace, so I popped in some new ones, re-capped the monitor, and it was as good as new.

The Power Supply

The fuses on the power supply block kept popping. I checked the four diodes used as a bridge rectifier on the Audio/Regulator II, and they had shorted. I replaced them.

The resistor R30 was burnt to a crisp. This is almost always caused by a bad contact between the PCB and the edge connector. I replaced R30 and replaced the pins in the edge connector.

Finally, just for preventative maintenance, I bought an A/R II repair kit from Bob Roberts and installed it.

The PCB

The PCB was dead, didn't display anything. I took the easy way out and got a new one from eBay.
