On January 21, 2003, the Raleigh County Citizen
Corps Council was appointed by the Raleigh County Emergency Program
Manager, as authorized by the Raleigh County Emergency Services Director.
The purpose of the Council was to develop a recommendation for the structure
of a public emergency preparedness. The members consist of the following
people, representing a cross-section of organizations:
Raleigh County Emergency Services Authority hereby
establishes a Citizen Corps Council (CCC) to bring community leaders
together to coordinate the involvement of community members in emergency
preparedness planning, mitigation, response and recovery.

2. Public Education for Emergency Preparedness
3. Community Involvement and Volunteer Participation
4. Management of Community Resources for Disaster
