Saab's upgraded 2.3 liter turbocharged engine, which has been boosted to an impressive 225
horsepower--compared to 200 in turbocharged 9000 CS and CD models. An increase in
torque--up to 258 ft-lbs.--also brings acceleration, and more importantly, passing
performance, to new heights, transporting you to cruising speed faster than ever before.
The 5-speed Saab 9000 Aero will streak from 50 to 75 mph faster than a Ferrari Testarossa

ensures efficient delivery of the 9000 Aero's performance potential. Trionic lowers
exhaust emissions by automatically adjusting ignition, fuel injection and turbocharger
boost pressure to simultaneously provide optimal performance and enhanced fuel economy. As
