A new parakeet arrives into the family household and the other bird, named Rainbow, wants nothing to do with it. Everywhere Rainbow hides the new bird seems to find him. In the end, Rainbow realizes the foolishness of running and they soon become friends, enjoying each others company on top of a big wooden perch. Throughout the story, the themes of getting along, sharing, and making new friends come across loud and clear.
