Welcome to my homebrewing page!

This is my chance to brag a little bit about my homebrewing setup. I am an all-grain brewer using a RIMS type brewing system. Even so, there are a few things about my setup that an extract brewer may want to apply to his/her own setup. I've also included a page on my old all-grain brewing system that has a few goofy things (I thought they were cool then) that any homebrewer might be interested in. (maybe not) I brew only ales because I don't have the equipment to lager (yet). Most of my beers are in a (sort of) British style.

For those of you who are first time visitors, WELCOME! Feel free to ask me any questions you may have regarding my brewing equipment. Because of the many questions that people ask, I revise my presentation to, hopefully, make this stuff more understandable. Before you go to all the trouble of sending me an email message please read the ?QUESTIONS? page. I receive a ton of email asking the pretty much the same questions. That told me I had some deficiencies on the page. I've tried to plug some of those holes. Maybe your question will be answered there.

I designed this webpage on a monitor with 1024 X 768 resolution. You may have to do some scrolling around to see everything if you have a lesser resolution. If you find any major bugs let me know.

FIRST, A WORD OF CAUTION......

Be aware that the things you will see on this website were fabricated, by me, using sharp tools, hot things and a variety of other tools that can do SERIOUS HARM to a person that is not familiar with their use. If you choose to attempt the construction of brewing equipment, similar to mine or otherwise, you are on your own to determine if you are capable of operating the necessary tools.  Also be aware that this equipment uses electricity in a wet environment.  Proper care should be exercised.  I SHALL NOT be responsible for anyone elses incompetence.

SECONDLY......

Please take the time to read the text associated with each aspect of my brewing system. I receive a ton of email asking questions that have already been answered in the text of the webpage. Please, please, please take the time to click on the "QUESTIONS" button on the left. Chances are that someone has already asked me that question. It's not that I don't like to receive email but some of this does get rather tiresome. Please don't take this the wrong way. If there is something that you're quite certain that has been overlooked PLEASE let me know. In the past I've tried to keep a list of questions that have been asked and have incorporated them into this webpage.

That said... let's BREW!

I finally got around to updating this webpage on 10-11-2000. Any of you net surfers that have your own webpage know it's kind of a pain to do, but you just get tired of the old version and finally break down and make the time to do it.  I pretty much had to do something with the page because, as you long term visitors will notice, I've changed my ISP.  Nothing wrong with my old provider, but I'm now running with a cable modem.  Another change that I've made (you probably won't even notice) is that there is no longer a nonframes version of my webpage.  If this messes up your browser, get a new browser.
