The Tornado

Here is a picture of what a "small" F4 tornado looks like. This picture was taken by a police officer of the tornado that attacked Camilla.

Here is a picture of what was left behind. This was my parents house. The house I grew up in.

A pic of the backside of the house. That's my mom (in the middle) standing on their deck with 2 neighbors.

This is a pick looking to the east down their street. That's Dad's Caddy in the driveway. He wasn't home at the time of the carnage. Somehow, he managed to drive over all those trees laying in the street and not damage the car. Needless to say, he was in quite a hurry to get home and see that Mom was alright.

Here is a pic of one of Camilla's stablemates. Mom's other sportscar, an '88 Pontiac Fiero GT. There used to be a single stall garage around this car. Somehow it vanished in the storm. This car was relatively undamaged. The windshield was shattered, the rear side window smashed out, the rear wing broken off, and that little bit of fender damage. The roll-up windows in the door were down so they were undamaged. I drove the car to get it out of the way during cleanup.

Yes, there is a car under there!

There she is! How many MGs can say they've had a house and a 3-stall garage sitting on top of them?

Here she sits, lonely, looking sad. I don't have a photo of how she looked with the windshield laid back into the cockpit.

Here's all 3 of Mom's cars. Camilla, the Fiero, and her Tahoe. The Tahoe was sold to a friend of my dad and is looking nonetheworse for wear today. The Fiero was kept and is being repaired by the local technical college autobody program and I'm doing Camilla. The cars were covered with sheets of plastic for weather protection as I knew they could all be saved from the scrap yard.
