Welcome
This is my bit of cyberspace dedicated to "Camilla", my mothers 1976 MG Midget. This page isn't so much to show off a restoration as it is to document repairs done to the car after it had been damaged. The damage occured as a result of a F4 tornado that hit Granite Falls, MN on July 25, 2000. I chose to repair the car as my parents had given up on her. After the insurance was settled and a trailer was acquired, I brought the car to my home in Red Wing, MN. The pages that follow are a, sort of, diary as to what happens. My plans for the car include refurbishing the body and interior but, not to do too much to the car mechanically. I only plan to line the gas tank, install a new hydraulic clutch line and install a fresh set of plug wires. If time permits, I may do a few more things mechanically. I'm not necessarily a fan of British cars but, this particular one has good memories for many and deserves to be on the road. As you read these pages you may get the idea that I would much rather be playing with Porsches. You're right. I would.
Please be aware that many of the pictures are quite large (because I like 'em BIG) and may take a while to draw if you have a slow internet connection. Those larger pictures were scanned from photographs and were left that way to better show the details. The smaller pictures are captures from my camcorder and snatched with a DigitalVision ComputerEyes R/T capture card.
This webpage was designed using Microsoft FrontPage Express and AOLPress as my HTML editors. I have verified that the page will display well (with some scrolling around) using Microsoft Internet Explorer and my monitor resolution at 1024x768.
Enjoy!
