Subject: Red Knights weekend on Cape Cod

The snow is starting to melt here in New England, and one of the first weekend rides that is always on the books up here is the Red  Knights weekend on Cape Cod. May is not too far off, so consider blocking off the second weekend in May and make reservations to join  the Red Knights on the Cape.

When it first started out (over 20 years ago) these weekends for the members of the Massachusetts Chapters to get together --- but we don't care if your from Massachusetts or elsewhere --- all Red Knights are welcome to come join us and ride around Cape Cod for the weekend. Since it is prior to "the season" the roads and the shops are not busy and the prices are still within reason.

This year the Regional Cape Cod Weekend is on May 9-11

We're on the lower Cape, beyond the elbow again this year, with our host hotel in Eastham. That opens up some great roads and restaurants along the coastline for us and gives us some wonderful vistas to enjoy on our first big ride of the season. Plans are being made to attend the local Elk's Club Fish Fry on Friday evening and spend our Saturday participating in a "Red Knights Grand Tour" while touring the Cape.

Our hosts, RK Mass-8 (who call the Cape home), will be our guides and they will also be using the weekend to gain some Red Knights donations for the Shriner's Burn Fund.

 Our host hotel will be the Town Crier and the cost is $69 per night. Because we are a week later into the season this year the motel restaurant will be open for breakfasts while we are there.

Mass-2 will be meeting at the Westminster (MA) FD at 9:00 am on Friday, May 9 and will be meeting up with Mass-3 enroute to the Cape.

Anyone want to hold over to Monday too? The secret to the Cape traffic is that on Monday morning there is no traffic and it is a wonderful ride off the Cape and back home! (The motel will honor the price on Sunday night too).

Make your reservations soon! (508)255-4000 --- We'd be glad to see
any of our Red Knights friends!

...here is an article from Backroads magazine about riding on Cape Cod:

Please share this with other Red Knights in your area.

Ride safe everyone!
