Rapid growth of the
congregation as Pomeranians settle at Reeseville and augment the original
contingent of organizers, who were Bavarians. |

First articles of
incorporation for the congregation. |

First church building erected
by a Mr. Weigel on land donated by Johann Michael Kohn. Present-day
(2002) used as a workshop for the minister. |

First parsonage built.
Two-story oak log house. Used until 1905. Converted into
firewood in 1930. |

Construction of the current
(2002) brick church. Mason was August Stoebe. Construction
overseer was George Leonhard Neuberger, sr. |

Construction of 200x12x8 ft.
horse barn by August Reese on land purchased from Charles Liebing. Had
20 stalls with spaces for 2 horses in each stall. |
| 1878 |
Congregation installs a "melodium"
in the church. Before this time, all singing was a cappella. |
| 1895 |
Founding of daughter
congregation in the village of Reeseville--Immanuel Lutheran Church. |

Re-incorporation of the
congregation. |

Two bells purchased and placed
in belfry. |
| 1904 |
Stained glass windows
installed in the church. |

Rev. Schmidt purchases the
first automobile in Reeseville. |

New, two-story frame parsonage
is erected. Currently (2002) still used as the parsonage. |
| 1908 |
Installation of pipe organ in
the church. Currently (2002) still in use. |
| 1910 |
Reeseville Telephone Company
installs phone in the parsonage. |
| 1924 |
After heated debate about the
"Teufellichte" or "devil's lights", the congregation has electricity
installed in the church and parsonage. |
| 1927 |
Congregation arranges for
services to alternate betwen the German and English languages. Prior
to this time all church work was conducted in German. |
| 1927 |
Formation of Sunday School and
a youth group. |
| 1929 |
Complete reconstruction of the
interior of the church. Addition of a basement and new bell tower. |
| 1940 |
Congregation agrees to hold
English services the first three Sundays in a month, with a German service
on the last Sunday of a month. |
