ADAM SCHALLER
The following is an obituary of the late Adam Schaller whose death we recorded a few weeks ago. It was written by Mr. Schaller on June 20, 1898.
Johann Adam Schaller, born Jan. 3rd, 1835, in Neuhaus, Bavaria, Germany. He was confirmed at Trinity Sunday 1848, and was married October 13th 1863 to Anna Johanne Margarethe Kiesling of Wachholderbusch Bavaria, Germany. He left Germany June 20, 1868, and came to New York July 4th, and to Reeseville and Lowell. Mr. Schaller made his home in Reeseville after living four weeks in Lowell. In 1878 Mrs. Schaller became sick with cancer. After an operation she died in 1879 and left seven children. One boy and one girl died before. After two years Mr. Schaller was married to widow Marie Manigel of Lowell, on the 19th of November 1881. One boy, Carl, was born to them.
