ANNA SOPHIA MILLER DIED--Mrs. Anna Sophia Miller, wife of J.C. Miller, at their home east of this village, on Monday afternoon, April 5th, 1897, aged 51 years, 8 months and 27 days. Mrs. Miller was born at Rengsdorf, County Coblenz, Germany, July 8, 1845. The death of her mother, Mrs. Runkel occurred shortly after, and in 1855 she came to America with her father and settled on the homestead east of this village. She was married to John C. Miller October 21st, 1863, and their union was blessed with three children, the youngest, Alfred, dying August 9, 1892. The immediate relatives who survive to mourn her loss are her husband, J.C. Miller, two children, John W. Miller and Mrs. Albert Reinhard, of this place and a brother, G.W. Runkel, of Pine Island, Minnesota. Mrs. Miller was raised in the Christian faith, was a fond and devoted wife and mother, and was loved and respected by all who knew her, and the bereaved relatives are extended the sympathy of their many friends in their sad affliction. The funeral is to take place from the home at 1 o'clock, Friday afternoon, Rev. Jorris to conduct the services. |
