Anton Nagler

Agreement between Anton Nagler, as Grantor, and Matthias and Victoria Nagler, as Grantees, dated 20 October 1886 and recorded 4 December 1888 in the Office of the Register of Deeds for Dodge County, Wisconsin in Volume 11 of Miscellaneous, Page 245.

Bound for $3000

Witness:  S. Woodward

In return for the deed to the farm, Anton agreed to provide the following items to his parents:

A.  40 bushels of wheat per year or $30 in lieu thereof

B.  1 bushel of beans per year or $1.25 in lieu thereof

C.  each year:  500 pounds of pork from pigs less than 1 year old or $25 in lieu thereof

D.  each year:  the wool and mutton from 2 sheep less than 3 years old or $7 in lieu thereof

E.  during the summer of each year:  4 dozen eggs per week and during the rest of the year:  2 dozen eggs per week or $18 in lieu thereof

F.  4 one year old chickens per month or $12 in lieu thereof

G.  3 pounds of butter per week or $20 in lieu thereof

H.  During the six months of summer each year:  4 quarts of milk per day and during the rest of the year:  1 quart of milk per day or $15 in lieu thereof

I.  All necessary fuel or $40 in lieu thereof

J.  If one his parents should die then the survivor is to receive 1/2 of the above-described items

K.  As long as the parents remain under the same roof, Anton agreed to do all of the family washing, to attend his parents if ill and to call a doctor if they get sick (but not to pay their doctor bills)

L.  Anton was not given the right to pay in money if such articles are worth more than the "in lieu" amounts nor was he to deliver the articles at times when they were worth less than the "in lieu" amounts

M.  To pay $100 per year at 5% interest, which interest is on the first $2000

N.  To provide his parents with use of 1/2 of the garden that was kept as a garden at that time

O.  To allow his parents so much use of water from the well and cistern as needed
