Charles Yerges

Agreement between Charles Yerges, as Grantor, and Henry and Wilhelmine Yerges, as Grantees, and also to Fred, George, William, Henry Yerges and Louise Stoker, as Grantees, dated 22 Aug 1889

In return for the deed to the farm, Charles agreed to be bound to the following:

1.  pay Henry and Wilhelmine Yerges $100 on January 1st each year and $100 on July 1st each year without interest (to go to $50 at the death of one of the parents)

2.  to deliver to his parents on demand the following items:

a.  30 bushels of good merchantable wheat
b.  25 bushels of good merchantable potatoes
c.  1 good hog with a dressed weight of no less than 300 pounds in November each year
d.  25 dozen fresh eggs
e.  in summer and winter, 2 cows in good order and to milk the cows each morning and night and deliver the milk to his parents at the door of their dwelling (in the Northwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 14, Township 9 North, Range 13 East, in the Town of Portland)
f.  to take the wheat to the mill and return with bran and flour as desired
g.  good firewood cut and split for stove
h.  exclusive use of 1 good, safe horse that is well broke and the use of 1 good top buggy, 1 single harness in good repair
i.  the remaining parent to get one-half of the same at the death of the spouse
j.  free use of roads and paths

3.  to provide the following amounts to his siblings:
a.  to Fred, $1000 on 1 Mar 1889 at 6% interest after 1 Sept 1889 and an additional $400 on 1 Mar 1889 at no interest
b.  to George, $500 on 1 Mar 1893, $500 on 1 Mar 1895 and $500 on 1 Mar 1900 at no interest
C.  to Louisa, $200 on 1 Mar 1896 at no interest
D.  to William, $400 on 1 Mar 1897 at no interest
E.  to Henry, $400 on 1 Mar 1898 at no interest
