KARL HEINRICH KLUG
AND
ALBERTINE EMILIE BERTHA WOLFGRAM
Karl Heinrich Klug (a/k/a Carl Henry Klug, a/k/a C.H. Klug, a/k/a "Landrat" Klug)
was born 24 Sept 1837 in Pomerania, Prussia, the son of Bageslar Klug and
Scharlotte Bargart. He came to the United States in 1861 and land at the
port of Detroit. He married Emilie on 5 July 1866 at her parent's house in
the Town of Portland. He died 17 Nov 1923 and is buried at Trinity
Lutheran Cemetery.
Albertine Emilie Bertha Wolfgram was born 9 Dec 1842 in Zachow, Kreis Naugard,
Pomerania, Prussia, the daughter of Johann Christian David Wolfgram and his
wife, Anna Sophia Schlueter. She came to America in 1855 with her parents.
She died 19 Sept 1887 in childbirth (of her 11th child) and is buried at Trinity
Lutheran Cemetery.
NOTE: Carl Henry's nickname of "Landrat"
arose from the fact that he often boasted that he owned so much land in America,
that if he owned the same amount of land in Prussia, he would be a Landrat (one
of the highest county-level officials).
NOTE: The C.H. Klug farm was located in the West 1/2 of the
Northeast 1/4 and the West 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 17, Township 9
North, Range 14 East, in the Town of Lowell.

2. Bertha Maria Hulda born 30 July 1869, married Feb. 1893 to
Albert A.F. Klug. She died 2 Feb 1943 and is buried at Trinity Lutheran
cemetery.
3. Johann Friedrich Wilhelm born 20 Aug 1871, died 11 Apr
1956, unmarried.
4. Friedrich August Albert born 4 Aug 1873, died 26 Aug 1884
of diptheria. Buried at Trinity Lutheran cemetery.
5. Emma Emilie born 26 Nov 1874, died 27 Aug 1884 of
diptheria. Buried at Trinity Lutheran cemetery.
6. Stillborn male child 24 Sept 1876 and is buried at Trinity
Lutheran cemetery.
7. Helena Hulda Sophia born 28 Aug 1877, married 6 Sept 1904
to Alvin Buss, she died 5 Aug 1960 and is buried in the Reeseville village
cemetery.
8. Olga Louise Franziska born 29 July 1879, died 3 July 1906.
unmarried. Buried at Trinity Lutheran cemetery.
9. Anna Sophia Magdalena born 6 Aug 1881, died 4 Oct 1881 and
is buried at Trinity Lutheran cemetery.
10. Sophia Albertine born 17 Sept 1882, married 28 Oct 1909 to
Albert Baker, she died in 9 Nov 1974 and is buried at Trinity Lutheran cemetery.
11. Stillborn male child 18 Sept 1887 and is buried at Trinity
Lutheran cemetery.
