EDWARD WOBIG
Mr. Edward Wobig died at his home here Monday Jan. 29th.
It hath passed Almighty God to summon out of this vale of tears to His devine favors, Mr. Julius Ed. Wobig. Born January 27, 1833 in Klausdorf, Kreis Soldin, Preussen. In 1861 he entered holy wedlock with Miss Ernestine Schroeder and in 1866 he with his wife and two children left the "Vaterland" and came to America. Mr. Wobig located in the town of Lowell, where he conducted a farm and blacksmith shop. Later he came to Reeseville where he lived unto his death. He died in the ripe old age of 84 years and 2 days. He was buried in the Village cemetery last Friday afternoon, Rev. F. W. Raetz officiated at the funeral. His discourse was based on the words recorded Genesis 25, 8 Mr. Wobig leaves to mourn his death his aged wife, 6 children and 9 grandchildren.
