KARL FRIEDRICH HEINRICH LAU

Karl Friedrich Heinrich Lau (a/k/a Henry) was born 17 Sept 1846 in Gross Borckenhagen, Kreis Naugard, Pomerania.  He was the son of Johann Gustav Lau and Ernestine Kirkhoefer.  He married Caroline on 5 June 1872 at Trinity Lutheran Church.  He died 15 July 1887 in the Town of Lowell and is buried in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.

Anna Karolina Kohn (a/k/a Caroline) was born 31 Mar 1849 in the Town of Lowell.  She was the daughter of Johann Michael Kohn and Christina Steinacker.  She died 22 May 1939 in the Town of Lowell and is buried in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. 

NOTE:  In the picture above, Caroline is shown with her sister, Mary, at the time of Mary's wedding to Robert Lau (the brother to Henry) in 1876.  Caroline is on the left with Mary on the right.

CHILDREN OF HENRY AND CAROLINE:

1.  Ella Martha Mathilde  born 25 Feb 1876 in the Town of Lowell.  She married Heinrich Sack on 10 Nov 1897 at Trinity Lutheran Church.  She died 1 June 1957 in Hustisford.

2.  Robert Otto Theodore (a/k/a "Tater")  born 11 Jan 1878 in the Town of Lowell.  He married Anna Hedwig Kohn on 16 Jun 1909 at Trinity Lutheran Church.  He died 23 Mar 1964 in Watertown.

3.  Martha Wilhelmine Ernestine born 26 Jun 1880 in the Town of Lowell.  She died 30 October 1973 in Columbus.  She was never married.

4.  Franz Albert  born 20 Sept 1882 in the Town of Lowell.  He married Hedwig Anna Catherina Young on 17 Nov 1910 at the Second Reformed Church.  He died 10 July 1970 in Beaver Dam.

5.  Anna Minna Hedwig (a/k/a Hattie) born 1 July 1886 in the Town of Lowell.  She married Leon Dauffenbach on 26 Nov 1914 at Immanuel Lutheran Church.  She died 25 Jan 1977 in Beaver Dam.
