John Neuberger
Agreement between John Neuberger, as Grantor, and Leonhard Neuberger and his
wife, Margarethe, as Grantees, recorded 3 June 1887 in the Office of the
Register of Deeds for Dodge County, Wisconsin in Volume 11 of Bonds, Page 19.
In return to the deed to the farm, John agreed to provide his parents the
following items each year:
- $75 to be paid each June 1st.
- 25 bushels of good, merchantable wheat and 18 bushels of potatoes to be
paid each October 1st.
- dressed hogs to 400 lbs. weight to be paid during the month of November
each year
- to give them at different and reasonable times during the year: 26
dozen eggs, 10 chickens and 2 geese
- to leave them in full, quiet and peaceable possession of the west or
upright part of the house (including cellar and chamber) now occupied and to
have the privilege of passing through the other part of the house and to have
access to the stair leading to the cellar, upper story and cistern
- to keep 2 cows both summer and winter and to allow his parents once in
three years to raise on the place a heifer calf, which John agrees to keep
until 2 years old
- to give them use, when wanted, of a horse and buggy
- to keep for their use two sheep and they are to have the wool and lambs
each year
- to proved fuel prepared for the stove
- to care for them when sick or unable to work
- to give them free and full use of 1/2 of the garden and 1/2 of the fruit
that may grow on the farm
- if John dies then to pay out $3000 from his estate; if Leonhard dies first
then when Margaret dies to pay out $1500
