REESEVILLE MARRIAGE RECORDS, 1848 TO 1865

Abstracts of marriage records for individuals in the Reeseville community as were filed with the State of Wisconsin.  Spelling kept as found in the original record; however, I have arranged the entries by date of marriage within each microfilm series.  I have indicated under an "a/k/a" in italics the usual spelling for the last name if this differs from what is in the record.

These records were deposited with the State of Wisconsin as duplicates of those filed at the local register of deeds office.  They are great importance because the county courthouse (and all records contained therein) burned down in 1877.  The state's records also augment the marriage entries that are found in the church records for the various churches in the Reeseville community--the earliest of which are those for Trinity Lutheran Church, which begin in 1860.

The following abstracts are taken from State Historical Society of Wisconsin, microfilm reel 51M, Dodge County, Wisconsin marriage records, 1855-1860, Volume 1 to Volume 2, Page 144; Series 2073.
