Sweet Adelines International Sweet Adelines International is a worldwide organization of nearly 27,000 women who love to sing 4-part a capella harmony, barbershop style. Sweet Adelines has more than 600 chapters (choruses) and 1,200 registered quartets. There are chapters in most of the 50 United States, Canada, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. The organization has been divided into more than 30 regions. Each region acts as a liaison between the international headquarters of Sweet Adelines and the chapters within its boundaries. In addition, the region acts as the support structure and center of information for all chapters, quartets, and individual members in its geographical area. The quarterly magazine of Sweet Adelines International is the Pitch Pipe. Beginning with the July 2008 issue, all issues are being issued in both paper and electronic formats. The electronic version of all issues to date can be found on the Sweet Adelines International website. Region 22 of Sweet Adelines covers Wisconsin, as well as parts of Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois and Michigan. See the map below which details the boundaries of the region. Region 22 has 19 active chapters, and approximately 25 registered quartets. Like other regions of Sweet Adelines, the region is governed by an eight-member Regional Management Team, which conducts the business of the region and organizes activities, educational events, and an annual convention and competition for its members. At our regional school in January 2009, the region was presented with a new tag "Catch the Excitement", written by Joe Liles especially for Region 22 with words by MJ Mortillaro. Everyone there picked it up and sang it with gusto. Music for the tag is available as a .pdf file. Thank you Joe and MJ!
