Synopsis

In November 2004 an intrepid and committed independent film maker and director, Marisol Torres, came to Camp Falcon ostensibly to make a movie about soldiers serving in Iraq. She ended up with Task Force 1-21 and made a superb feature documentary about the first free, democratic National Elections conducted in Iraq.

This feature documentary doesn't rely on rap, heavy metal, or country music glitz and slickly shot combat action footage to sensationalize soldiers serving in Iraq. Instead "Interpreting Iraq" shows the day-to-day activities of an Army unit working the West side of Baghdad preparing and supporting the Iraqi National Elections in January 2005.
