2008 Season

May - Shakedown Cruise to Grand Haven. May 16-18. This is the annual weekender "get the cobwebs out" trip. The docks are under construction at the Municipal Marina so we will be checking with the Harbor Master on some creative slipping.

June - Mystery Weekend Cruise. June 14-17. This will be a first. We are heading to South Haven for the Annual South Haven Harborfest. Rumors have it that this is a huge boaters party. The municipal takes reservations if you call them direct. They are not on the DNR reservation program.

July - Power Flotilla Vacation - July 17-20. Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the Festa Italiana will be our destination. We will be at the new Lakeshore State Park marina at the festival grounds (http:www.friendslsp.org is the site for more info on the marina and to download the reservation form).

August - 15th Annual HTYC Dinghy Poker Run. This is our most popular event with tons of activities, prizes, food, and exciting wet and wild stops for poker cards. Over 120 participants and volunteers joined in the festivities last year.

September - 4th Annual Grand Haven Salmon Festival. The beer tent is in the Marina parking lot. Better get those DNR marina reservations in early on this one. Lots of dock parties, wine tasting, bands, grape stomping, nautical art show, and food at this hoot of an event. Half a dozen HTYC boats and many drive-ins made this event last year.

The DNR marina reservations web link, http://www.midnrreservations.com will work for many municipal marinas now. Give them a try on one of your trips and find out about the joy of having a slip waiting for you upon your arrival. Note: use the harbors pull down list to see all the marinas. Several marinas are not on the pretty map.
