This site was inspired by Herb McLeod's One-Sheet Skiff One-Sheet Skiff Link which I stumbled upon after dusting off my 20+ year-old copy of Bolger's 30 Odd Boats and deciding it was time to build a simple boat with my 9 year old son.  Since finding tons of OSS info on the web, I've also found a great shareware program called Hulls by Gregg Carlson Hulls Link  for designing simple hull forms and a link to HulWiz by Lew Cleyman HulWiz Link which is a simple, user-friendly, front-end for Hulls.  These designs are meant to be constructed in the stitch and glue "instant boat" method - web references abound.  If you're interested in building small, low-cost, home built boats you should check out the Boat Design user group hosted by Yahoo  Boat Design User Group.
