My name is Richard "Rick" Brown. aka "slug".
I am a Police Sergeant with The Lanett Police Dept. in Lanett Alabama. May 5th of this year made 10 years that I have been with the Police Dept. I have been telling myself Im going to quit everyday, but I have been saying that for about 8 years now. My first year I was just glad to be there. Im still hanging in it for some unknown reason. I joined the Lanett Police Dept. full time in May of 1989 and graduated from
Northeast Alabama Police Academy at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville Alabama in March of 1990.
Before joining the Police Dept. full time, I was a reserve officer with the department for about 14 months.
