The out to shutter signal goes momentarily low when keyed by moving the stick down or left depending on the channel used. If a momentary high signal is required then use pin 7 instead of pin 3. There is a four second delay after the shutter is keyed to allow time for the camera to save the picture to memory.

The perf board is not required but makes a neater unit. A socket is not needed but can be added if you would be more comfortable with that method.
