"Grandmother LeFevre" known to so many for so many years (she Was nearly100 years old), was tall, straight as a soldier, and quick on her feet. One winter morning in her 98th year, when a mist had put an icy coatingon the kitchen porch, she went out quickly to feed her chickens. Notnoticing the icy surface of the floor, she slipped, and falling, shebroke her hip. The shock and injury was too much for her system, and in acouple of weeks "Grandmother" departed from earthly scenes.
