Soup's on!

What a Day!   What a Good Time!   What a group of people!

Like last year, the day started out not looking all that nice.  Cool temperatures and wind... but the forecast for the afternoon was nothing but SUN!  I had my hopes up that several adventurous souls would find their way to my house in Fond du Lac, WI.  At first they slowly trickled in, then, all at once it looked like the flood gates were opened and my driveway, street and neighbors driveway were filled with bikes.  So Cool!

My signup sheet tells me that 50 people attended the Soup Run.  (I know a few forgot to sign in and the number was probably closer to 60.)  This year people came from Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa, Indiana, Texas, Arkansas, Ohio, and Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada.

We all had a good time....

Following are some pictures of the days events.

Here's a panoramic view of what the front of my yard looked like.  Click on the picture for a large version of this picture.

One of the Women On Wheels riders drove this beautiful trike to the Soup Run.

Some bikes parked on the street.

Roger (Lonerider) - seated furthest left - has attended all three Soup Runs.

Here is the group called Women On Wheels.  They came from different parts of the state.

Behind the table on the left is Bill.  He is the founder of the Shadow Riders Forum and came from Dallas, Texas to attend the Soup Run. Alan - seated closest to the camera - is from Indiana and heads up the Motorcycle Touring Forum on Delphi.

Looking at some bikes on my driveway.

Our neighbors across the street are some of the nicest people around.  When they saw the overflow of bikes showing up to the Soup Run, they came over and told us we could use their driveway for the extra bikes.

Gene (form Baraboo) talks with Bill (from Texas) and Gary (from Iowa).

Alan is picking one of the Door Prize winners from the box carried by my brother Mark (Waterguy) as my daughter Jamie looks on.

It was a great day to enjoy everyone's company!

Kelly (the inventor and manufacturer of Kelly Boards) puts a new chrome fuse box cover on my bike.  Thanks Kelly!

So many people attended this year's Soup Run!  I wish I could post pictures of everyone.  Unfortunately my server space is somewhat limited and (at this time) I'm still working with a slow dial-up connection.  Please accept my apologies if you do not see your picture on this page.  I truly appreciate your attendance at the Soup Run and hope that you will continue to attend future Soup Runs.

Thank you all for coming!  I had a great time meeting all of you and sharing a beautiful afternoon.

Let's do it again next year!

Soup's on!
