Soup's on!

It was a good day!

Six years ago when I first started thinking about this Soup Run thing I never imagined it could turn out as good as it has. People coming from all over to share an afternoon of food and fellowship with total strangers in a town that most people find difficult to spell... (Fond du Lac)

This year's Soup Run was probably the best it could be. Great weather, large crowd and a good time. I was amazed when I looked at the line of people snaking its way into the kitchen from outside. Everyone seemed to be having a good time.

139 people signed the official attendance sheet. I'm sure a few missed. So let's say 150 people were at Soup Run 2006. Folks came from Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina and Winnipeg Canada.

I need to thank so many people for making the day of the Soup Run operate as smooth as possible. Patti, (Mrs. Soup) is amazing! She let's me do this thing and helps out in so many ways. My kids kick it up a notch for the Soup Run and help out where ever needed. Ryan helps put out the signs, re-fills the brats and burgers, runs to the store and helps try to organize the parking. Jamie is the official photographer and supervisor of the "Volunteers". The "Volunteers" (Jamie, April, Scott and Caleb) fill the ice, soda and water, pick up messes and help out wherever need. And to my big brother Mark (Waterguy) for the use of his tables and chairs and for getting me into this internet motorcycle forum stuff so many years ago...I owe you one... Thanks!!!

Finally... A big Thank You to all that came to the 6th Annual Soup Run. It was a good day!
